We're a team of five headquartered in sunny California — three engineers and two designers. We started Rainn Inc. because we kept watching people struggle with photos that were 95% perfect. The tools that exist are either too complicated (Photoshop) or too limited (phone erasers). We thought there should be something in between.
BOARD is our answer. It sees photos the way you do — as a collection of things, not pixels. You point at what's wrong. The AI fixes it. That's the whole product.

We're funded, focused, and building in the open. BOARD launched in 2026 and is used by photographers, real estate teams, online sellers, and regular people who have a photo with one thing wrong in it.
Three things we won't budge on.
Your photos are yours.
We process your photos in real-time and delete them immediately after. We never store, share, or use your images for AI training. Period. This isn't a policy we'll revisit when we need more data. It's a principle.
Honest about what we can't do.
BOARD is built for removing specific objects from photos. It's not a Photoshop replacement. It's not a design tool. It's not a filter app. We'd rather you know exactly what BOARD does well than be disappointed by what it doesn't.
No subscriptions.
You pay for what you use. Credit packs, no recurring charges, credits never expire. We think subscriptions for a tool you use occasionally is a bad deal for you, and we don't want to build a business on people forgetting to cancel.
Object-Oriented Editing
Most photo editors think in pixels. You draw selections, paint masks, and hope you got the edges right. BOARD thinks in objects. When you upload a photo, our AI (built on SAM3 segmentation) identifies every distinct thing in the scene — each person, each sign, each car, each piece of clutter.
You click the object. The AI removes it and reconstructs whatever was behind it. The whole process takes under 3 seconds.
We call this Object-Oriented Editing. It's not a feature bolted onto an existing editor. It's the entire product, designed from the ground up around one idea: you should be able to point at the thing that's wrong and tell it to go away.
