What “start free” means on BOARD
BOARD lets you begin in the browser without creating an account first. A guest session starts with limited credits, and credits are spent when you run AI actions inside the editor.
This page exists because "start free" is easy to oversimplify. On BOARD it means you can test the real workflow in a guest session before creating an account, not that the product is an unlimited free editor. Guest sessions currently start with 5 credits, AI removal or generation actions currently cost 1 credit each, and the balance can carry into a signed-in account if you decide to keep going. That is the honest shape of the pricing model described by the live product today.

Guest mode
New users can start in a guest session. BOARD currently initializes guest sessions with 5 credits so you can test the workflow before committing to an account.
What uses a credit
AI actions currently cost 1 credit each. That includes removal and other generation actions shown in the editor. Compare view and the standard edited-image download do not use a credit.
What happens when you sign in
- Your remaining guest balance is carried into the signed-in account.
- BOARD uses sign-in to unlock additional account-based credits and checkout options.
- If you need more than the free starting balance, paid packs are available in the app.
